How much does pest control cost?

The cost of pest control is not a fixed price and can vary based on several key factors:

  • Type of pest: Different pests require specialized treatments, which can affect the cost. For example, a severe termite infestation is typically more costly than a general ant problem.
  • Severity of infestation: A minor issue requires less time and materials than a widespread infestation.
  • Property size and type: The square footage and use of your home or business impacts the scope of treatment.
  • Service frequency: We offer both one-time services and cost-effective recurring plans (monthly or quarterly) for ongoing protection.

To get an accurate price, we offer a free, no-obligation inspection and quote to assess your unique situation.

How long does it take for pest control to work, and will the pests come back?

You can often see a noticeable reduction in pest activity within a few hours to a few days after treatment. However, complete elimination depends on the specific pest and the size of the infestation.

  • Quick results: Pests like ants and spiders often show a rapid decline after a single treatment.
  • Gradual results: More complex pests, such as bed bugs or termites, may require follow-up visits to ensure complete eradication.

To prevent pests from returning, a proactive, preventative approach is most effective. Our recurring service plans are designed to create a long-lasting barrier and include regular inspections to catch new issues before they become major problems.

What steps can I take to prepare for a pest control treatment?

Here are some general steps you can take:

  • Clear clutter: Remove items from floors, closets, and around baseboards to allow technicians access to treatment areas.
  • Store food: Place all open food, dishes, and utensils in sealed containers or cabinets.
  • Secure pets: Make sure all pets, including fish in aquariums, are either moved or covered before the technician arrives.
  • Move toddlers: Keep toddlers in an area we won’t be entering so they don’t interfere with the service.
  • Remove linens: If you are receiving a bed bug treatment, launder all bedding and clothing on the highest heat setting.

What’s the best way to prevent mosquitoes?

There are a few ways to prevent mosquitoes from taking over your yard and home.

  • Remove standing water: Clear gutters, cover water containers, and fill tree holes.
  • Block entry: Install screens on windows and doors.
  • Use natural deterrents: Plant mosquito-repelling plants, trim vegetation for better airflow, and use yellow outdoor lighting.

While these steps can help reduce mosquito activity, they may not be enough on their own. Contacting a professional is often the most effective way to control the mosquito population in and around your home.

What are the signs of a mosquito infestation? When should I call a professional?

Contact a professional if you notice a large mosquito population, mosquito larvae in standing water, your DIY efforts aren’t working, or you’re concerned about mosquito-borne diseases.

Prevention Tips:

  • Start treatments in mid-March or April.
  • Schedule regular treatments from spring through fall.
  • Eliminate standing water to stop breeding.

Why do I keep seeing ants in my kitchen even after treating them?

There are a few reasons why you may still see ants after treatment.

  • Repellant spray can scatter ants, causing them to find new paths.
  • Sprays may kill visible ants, but not the colony- if the queen survives, the colony keeps growing.
  • There could be multiple or hidden nests.
It is important to identify and eliminate the food source, seal entry points, clean up trails, and use appropriate products. Even with proper treatment, it may take a few weeks–patience is key.

What are the signs of a cockroach infestation?

There are multiple signs that you may have a cockroach infestation:

  • Seeing live roaches, especially at night or in dark areas.
  • Finding egg casings or shed skins.
  • Noticing droppings that look like small, dark specks, similar to ground pepper.
  • Seeing smear marks on walls or surfaces.

Don’t wait to call for help. Cockroach problems can quickly worsen. We offer a free inspection and will recommend the right treatment for your situation.

How dangerous are wasps near my house?

Wasps can be dangerous. While they are not usually aggressive, they are easily agitated and can be provoked suddenly. Sudden movements near a nest may be perceived as a threat, causing defensive behavior. Their stings are painful and can trigger allergic reactions. Wasps are especially dangerous in late summer and early fall, when nests are at their largest and food sources become scarce.

If you encounter an active nest:

  • Do not approach it.
  • Avoid swatting or making sudden movements.
  • Do not attempt DIY treatment, as it can be dangerous and ineffective.
  • Contact a professional for safe removal.
